I don't know what Trump is up to. I don't really believe he's a White Supremacist, though I wish he would cut ties with Elon Musk who absolutely is a White Supremacist.

I recently wrote a piece about being LGBTQ in a conservative culture. If you're LGBTQ and scared of what's going on currently, I encourage you to read that.

No, I'm not blaming the victim. I've been accused of blaming the victim for a lot of years for talking about what women can do differently in the face of stuff typically framed as misogyny and rape culture.

I'm trying to empower the victim.

I have come to believe that the worst homophobes are usually closeted gay people.

I have come to believe the worst homophobic homosexuals are Christians convinced that they will go to hell for all eternity if they admit they are gay. I have come to believe the most warped homophobic homosexual Christians are Catholics because the Catholic Church aids and abets child molester priests while persecuting homosexual priests, so real world evidence supports a conclusion that God will forgive child molesters but not homosexuals.

Why planet Earth has ALLOWED the church to openly aid, abet and cover up such heinous crimes and ALLOWED the POPE to have final say in this I don't know nor understand.

He has an inherent conflict of interest, probably several. At a minimum, he wants to save face for his organization and minimize the harm to its public reputation but also if a high enough percentage of priests are child molesters and he defrocks and fires them, it potentially begins to dismantle the Catholic Church as he may have no hope of replacing that many priests and would have to shut down a lot of churches.

I have come to believe that whatever the hell Trump is up to, he's dust in the wind and will either be out of office in less than four years or die of old age anywhere between twenty years from now and some time this year but the child raping homophobic religion of Christianity goes back 2000 years and has according to the Internet 2.3 BILLION adherents. And actively encourages self hatred and the existence of homophobic homosexuals who will do ANYTHING to convince themselves they will not burn in hell for all eternity, no matter how depraved.

If you are pro LGBTQ rights, I think the SINGLE most important thing you can work on is putting child molester priests (preachers, Rabbis, etc) in prison for their crimes.

No I can't possibly prove any of that. The piece is titled "Opinion" for a reason.

No, I don't expect anyone to take me seriously nor do anything about it. 

But just like only YOU can choose to be closeted, only I can choose to be silenced. And I choose not to be.

Terminology, History and Context

From a previous post called The Closet : At one time, I thought that being a "closeted gay" meant something like you slept alone or dated same-sex people secretly. I have come to understand that term differently over the years. I've just left a comment on Reddit in a discussion about the past stating again that at one time I thought closeted meant handling things discreetly but that's not how that word gets used. I did so because of a reply to an earlier  comment of mine where the reply says "We were closeted. To do otherwise meant you'd lose your job." because I talked about the fact that we don't really know how LGBTQ stuff was handled because the written records we have don't really give you a good picture. I initially thought my "weirdo" interpretation of closeted was me being stupid or something but this little exchange has me rethinking that. Leave because the relationship doesn't work anymore, not because you think you found Mr or Ms Right. Don't delay leaving "until you FEEL" x, y or z. You probably won't FEEL that until AFTER you LEAVE. So just LEAVE. Your anxiety etc is BECAUSE you are in a dysfunctional relationship. Closeted gays in heterosexual relationships get WORSE, not better, the longer they keep sleeping with someone of the opposite sex. The ONLY fix I know for the sexual sadism they develop is coming out and getting a same sex lover. If you are in a hetero relationship and your partner is actually gay, they are not going to satisfy you and you're not going to satisfy them. Waiting until you have some chump lined up as their replacement is not a fix for your problems. It's a blog.
